Matthew F. Ammirati

Brand builder · CMO, MARK & Crossbay · Board Member, Malbon Golf · Owner, Bridgehampton Motoring Club · New York, London

Matthew F. Ammirati is a brand builder across advertising, real estate, art and cars. He is Chief Marketing Officer of MARK, the real estate investment firm, and of Crossbay, its pan-European last-mile logistics platform; a board member of Malbon Golf; and the owner of Bridgehampton Motoring Club.

He started as a bayman on the East End of Long Island and turned art director, training at the School of Visual Arts and joining Ammirati Puris Lintas. The family name was already part of advertising history: his great-uncle Ralph Ammirati co-founded Ammirati & Puris, the agency behind BMW’s “The Ultimate Driving Machine.”

In 2000 he founded his own agency, Ammirati, in New York. As its CEO he developed Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, which earned Primetime Emmy nominations and a thank-you from Seinfeld on the Clio Awards stage. Ammirati created the brands for vitaminwater, later sold to Coca-Cola, and Montauk Brewing, where Matthew was a shareholder and helped lead the company’s sale. Ammirati merged with Resource to form Resource/Ammirati, a 300-person agency acquired by IBM in 2016 as its first creative agency acquisition. He then took that thinking inside a Fortune 500 company at Newell Brands.

Since 2020 he has been Chief Marketing Officer of MARK, which manages a portfolio of more than €20 billion across logistics, mixed use and high street retail, and of Crossbay, whose brand he built. He leads brand, communications and investor engagement from New York and London. That work included seven years on Mareterra, Monaco’s new waterfront district, alongside developer Patrice Pastor and architects including Renzo Piano and Norman Foster.

Beyond MARK, he sits on the board of Malbon Golf, invests in and advises consumer brands, and works with contemporary artists, including Daniel Arsham, with whom he collaborated on the 356 Bonsai, a wabi-sabi 1955 Porsche Speedster. He lives on a working farm on the East End with his family.
