Le Renzo at Mareterra, Monaco, raised above the waterfront at sunset

Mareterra is a six-hectare district built into the Mediterranean, extending Monaco’s territory by about three percent. Prince Albert II inaugurated it on December 4, 2024. Its architecture brings together Renzo Piano, whose Le Renzo building anchors the waterfront, Norman Foster, Stefano Boeri and Tadao Ando, on a masterplan by Valode & Pistre.

Matthew F. Ammirati worked on Mareterra for seven years as part of MARK, alongside the developer Patrice Pastor and the project’s architects, leading its brand and marketing, including the Mareterra website.
